I would just like to say a massive thank you to Tim & Deb at Kickstart! I went there like many before me after having a bad experience at another training school a year earlier...after almost forgeting the whole idea of riding, I read the testimonials after coming across their website, the good reviews I read (especially for lady riders) encouraged me to give it another go...this time I had picked the right school. Tim has been brilliant, patient, encouraging, funny and always gets the best of of you. Deb is great in giving those little pep talks when you need them! and fixing dates for tests and lessons around work . I passed my test 2 wks ago and my only wish is that I had seen the website earlier and avoided losing the confidence I had initially and probably making Tim's work a lot harder. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone wanting to learn to ride! Loads of thanks again! and all the best to Kickstart!! Jackie xx

A huge thank you to Kickstart. After a poor experience with another training provider, Debbie & Tim really came to my rescue with a completely different approach to my needs. Putting more emphasis on learning how to ride safely and to enjoy it, rather than simply passing the next test. The training is first class and fun, which made me relax and become more confident. You feel like part of the family with Debbie, Tim & Dave, all will work hard to see you through. Deb will bend over backwards to organise your lessons and tests, she took me up to the test pad for a Mod 1 practice, and was already on the phone booking me another test date after seeing me kick over a cone on my first attempt. (expect a small telling off for doing silly things on test : ) you wouldn't be there if the guys thought you weren't ready). No more mistakes after that and now I have my licence, thanks. I will not hesitate to recommend Kickstart to anyone thinking of taking to two wheels. Looking forward to more advanced lessons with Tim, now the real learning begins.

Hello you two! Deb and Tim sorry this thank you has been so long in being published, but I didnt realise that I could do this until today! A big thank you for your patience and support getting me through my CBT and direct access! Tim was great and thankfully he always had his cigarettes with him even if I had nearly always forgotten mine!! I still don't like right handed turns........ But that's a me thing - I will get that sorted.
Many thanks Jacquie x

Deb, Dave and Tim are three of the best people to Kickstart ( no pun intended !!!) you on your way to passing your test. Each one has their own individual knowledge and with a love of what they do and bikes Kickstart is a sure winner. Thanks to all the team for getting me through, it was worth every penny and i would recommend Kickstart to anyone who wants to pass their test, gain knowledge and guidance along the way.
To a professional team thanks again

What can I say about this brilliant team that has not already been said. I went to see Kick Start as a complete novice after deciding i wanted to try doing my CBT. Once I passed this I was definately bitten by the motorbike bug and went back to arrange to have my lessons with a very patient Tim to go for my full licence. I was very nervous about my part 1 test as I got a mental block about doing the 'u-turn' but by the time I went for my test I need not have worried as Tim had taught me excellently and I had no problems at all. Last week i went for my part 2 and was so pleased to pass it first time. If you are thinking about learning to ride a motorcycle or just getting some extra lessons after not being on a bike for a while this is definately the place to go. Deb always keeps you updated with everything that is going on and makes you feel very welcome from day 1. Tim & Dave are excellent instructors and will make even the most nervous of people into confident riders. Thank you to everyone at KIck Start. x

Well, what can I say...
My son did his CBT with you 18 months ago on his 16th brthday, and then went on to pass his full moped test 5 weeks later. 12 months on (and with10,000 miles under his belt on his FS1e) and he's out on the CG125 with you, think he had about 8 or 10 lessons, and he passes his mod 1, quickly followed by his mod 2 at Shrewsbury. Just another 5 weeks after his 17th birthday. The training he recieved was brilliant, very friendly and professional. We can't speak highly enough of everyone at Kickstart. Don't just think about it, pick up the phone. You won't find a better more professional outfit out there.
Five stars all round.
Jono

P.S.
Just two weeks after passing his mod 2, we took his sv650 to Scotland and with me on on my Pan Euro we did 1700 miles in one week touring all of Skye and North West Scotland, then a few weeks later we went to the ISLE OF MAN for the Manx GP and did another 1000 miles. Simply brilliant. He rode really well and sensibly, with great maturity, thanks in no small part to the guidance kickstart gave him.

Hi Guys and Girls, Just like to start by saying what a wonderful, patient and dedicated, family run training school 'Kickstart' is.
As a 41 year old mum, finding time in between work and family to have lessons was hard but Deb always managed to find times to suit me. From lending me DVD's to help me through my 'Theory Test' to support when I felt disappointed with myself, She has been a Diamond. Dave was a brilliant tutor for my CBT. And, last but not least...Tim. What can I say... a fantastic instructor with plenty of patience, (which he needed with me!!!) always putting me at ease, and never cross when I dropped the bike!!!

And to finish by saying, I passed my test in the Summer of this year and riding my 650 Bandit has given me a Whole new lease of life... the freedom you feel on a motorbike is wonderful. The Biking Community are so friendly... so come on and join us!

Many, many thanks to all at 'Kickstart'
Amanda. x

Having passed my full motorbike test I would like to say a massive thanks to all the staff at Kickstart Telford!!!
Debbie, the lady who puts you at ease on the phone and sorts out all admin issues.
Dave, the CBT legend who gets you riding in a few hours.
Tim, the instructor who gets the very best out of his students. I will miss your voice in my ear piece!!
A great family run business that I would recommend to anybody wanting to ride a motorbike.

I would recommend Kick Start to anyone; male or female, young or old, novice or experienced rider.
I used to get so nervous before my lessons but always went back for more! Kick Start is so friendly and I always felt welcome. Deb is the best; she was there after the good days, bad days and great days. And Tim is a superb instructor. Such patience!!! Kind, understanding, highly skilled and extremely professional.

When I first started I looked for a female instructor but stumbled across Kick Start. They had so many women on their books that I think we out numbered the guys at one point. So for anyone looking for a female friendly training centre this is it.

A year on and I still can't believe I passed my test first time and I'm happily riding the mean streets of London and have even ridden back to Telford to show off my Suzuki Gladius to the team.
I miss my sunny days out with Tim and mugs of tea and laughs with Deb.

All you need to know is if you want a C.B.T or a full motorcycle licence this is the ONLY place you need to come to. instantly you will feel at home welcomed by Deb, who is fantastic taking care of all the paperwork side of things so you need not worry about that and you can relax and spend the day with Dave doing your C.B.T. Dave is great at easing you through your first contact with mopeds and motorcycles and if your anything like me, not the brightest, has great patience and makes you feel good no matter what stupid questions you may ask. then there is Tim what can i say, hes the man!! lets put it this way i passed mod1 and mod2 first time thanks to Tim and the training that he gave.....cheers bigboy!
thanks to you all

Well after numerous financial payments from the KICKSTARTTELFORD gang (Debs. Tim & David) based behind WYLE AND HOLLAND, Wellington, Telford. I am forced to write this testimonial (only kidding!!!!).
A great way to learn, gain experience and further your motorbiking. From a CBT in 2006 with David to moving onto the DAS course with Tim, as most enjoyable experience all round. Nothing is too much trouble for the 'troublesum trio' whether its, help, advice, training and the odd 'learning curve' Bo****ing!!! a well delivered training company for people of all ages and experience.
Thankyou all very much.
Well recommended to all.

I was recommend to Kickstart from my brother who had done his cbt and test with them and i have to say i had an excellent time!! i have done my cbt before when i was 16 and now i am 21 and been driving for 4 years. When i did my cbt this time i learnt so much more than last time due to the excellent training provided by Dave, we had a good time and at no point did i feel uncomfortable or like i wasnt enjoying myself. Out on the ride Dave is more than capabale of looking after everyone in the group...leaving us wondering how the hell he saw us missing something out when he was ahead of us both! I would highly recommend using Kickstart for any of your biking needs. Now i just cant wait to get my lessons started! Thanks guys!!!
See you soon!

TIM the instructor was great and explaind things so well. as a result i past the mod 1 and mod 2 first time. the CBT was excelent too, i was a bit apprehensive at the start but dave (the other instructor) was very understanding and boosted my confidence after a wobbly start.. once again, kickstart were fantastic and i'm glad to be one of the family. I did my CBT with kickstart in early 2007, although I had just finished 6 month of chemo I found the staff not only understanding but extremely helpful. I went on to do my direct access with them and past first time in the October. I can’t speak highly enough of them; Debs is normally the first point of contact and she always welcomes you with a smiles. Both the instructors are professional but kind. Whether you’re an old rider wanting to get back in to the saddle or like me a new rider needing training from CBT to a big bike test, Kickstart is the ones to go with. I have never here’d a bad word said against them, and I can’t thank them enough they gave me something I have been looking for, and that’s the freedom of the road. Thanks Kickstart.

Debs, Tim & Dave are second to none and not only teach and encourage you in the best methods possible, but they also WANT you to pass ASAP, I know I had already tried somewhere else and FAILED my test but KICKSTART sorted me out and in fact were far cheaper in price. Just go and chat to them and I'm sure that you will see just how professional, friendly & dedicated they all are (and it's a great cup of tea) Regards Kickstart Rob Miles

Well......all I can say is you will NOT be dissapointed!!!
These days you'd expect to get less than what you paid for. However, not only did I get what I paid for, I got a whole lot more too!!! Dave was fantastic on my CBT and had all the patience you could ask for and taught me well! Tim, during my prep for Mod 1& 2, was the most valuable asset I could ask for on my lessons. As the saying goes "With you every step of the way"!!!! Indeed he was.
I had never ridden anything bigger than a 125 at that point and I was nervous as hell......Tim taught me using a method I understood, shared the most valuable tips and taught me how to be a safe rider and be in control!!!
I could go on alot longer but........I have one more thanks to give and that is to Deb who spent hours arranging our lessons and scheduling our tests and putting up with our grief hahaha
They provide a very professional, reliable and friendly service! If you don't beleive me................................I have a license to prove it!!!!!!!

From the first moment i stepped in the door to do my CBT I felt completely at home. Everybody made me feel like I had known them for years!
The CBT was an excellent way for me to start riding a bike; I had been driving for almost 7 years and still learnt a lot on the CBT. I had a great day and loved it that much i pre paid for 10 hours and my bike test.
All enjoyed all my lessons with Tim and couldn’t have asked for a better Instructor!
When test time came Deb always tried her best to get the slots I needed to have time off work.
I have recommended 2 family members to KickStart and are both started their CBT this month!
Thanks all at KickStart!!

I had done 10,000 miles on just a CBT and decided to go for the old test (this was in febuary). I had picked up alot of bad habits and within 3 hours the instructor knocked out all my bad habits. Unfortunatly I failed on the U-turn, but had 3 other minors from old habits creeping in.

The instructor was fantastic, he respected the fact I was experianced and didn't treat me like a novice, just as someone who needed guidence. He was firm with me at times, but to get from where I was to where I needed to be, he needed to be, he's a credit to the company and I will be using kickstart again to get my training re done to get my module 1 done
